Body design:

Performance:

Epson Stylus DX4450 multi-function photo printer uses Epson’s DURABrite inks which can perform one-touch photocopying of texts and pictures. This ink provides laser-like texts, glossy prints which are water resistant and fights smudging and fading. The built-in control panel makes your work very simple. The directions and options provided by the control panel is very straight forward. You have options for colour and mono photocopying. It includes colour restoration function to give lives to your old photos. The photocopying mode runs independently, so you may not need to switch on your computers to make any copies. You can also produce borderless prints.

Epson claims that its printer can produce 15 pages of black text per minute. This is a good speed. The scanning process too dint consume much time. The scanned pictures were quite good. The fine details of the pictures were clearly represented. The prints produced accurate results. Though there was little banding in solid areas of colour, the over-all result was more than satisfactory. Printing of full size A4 does consume some time but the quality is acceptable keeping its price in mind. Another thing that can be noticed is that the sheet feeder is not quite straight. The printer is a little noisy while printing and feeding in paper.

Software bundle:

This Borderless Photo printer comes with a good deal of software bundle. They include, copy utility, Easy Photo Print, Creativity Suite and OCR recognition software for you to do the processes of printing copying and scanning very easy. Epson’s easy photo print removes Red eye. DX4450 is compatible with photo quality paper aiding you in producing photos which are rich and long-lasting. The printer driver interface helps you with the colour profiles and lets you select between colour optimisation and printing just using the black cartridge.

Verdict:
Epson Stylus DX4450 All-in-One Printer can be surely recommended for its nice look, detailed prints and scans, flatbed scanner, 4-ink cartridge, one-touch copying technology and above all, its reasonable price. But yes, it can not be flawless as a little banding can be noticed and is time consuming while printing full A4 size prints. It is an ideal multifunctional printer for your daily works.
